Handmade Indigo Folk Motif Batik Square Tablecloth

A handmade batik square table cloth designed to bring a quiet heritage accent to the dining table, coffee table, sideboard, or tea setting. Crafted in Guizhou Province, China, this piece carries the warmth of regional handwork into the home.

Made with natural dyes and traditional wax-resist batik techniques, each piece takes several days to complete, from wax-resist drawing and dyeing to washing, drying, and finishing. The craft lineage can be traced back to the Qin and Han dynasties, around 221 BC–220 AD. Miao batik was later recognized as part of China’s national intangible cultural heritage in 2006.

Balanced, symbolic, and quietly decorative, it adds a refined layer of indigo craft to the contemporary daily life.
